Vince Dijanich served in the US Army from 1968 to 1970 and was a combat infantryman in the 101st Infantry in Vietnam. Upon discharge, Vince joined Vietnam Veterans Against the War in various chapters in Northern California and became a sub-regional coordinator before leaving VVAW in 1976. Vince became an anti-war environmentalist during his tour in Vietnam after experiencing the enormous ecological destruction wrought by the US. Subsequently, he worked in environmental, peace, and revolutionary organizations before becoming active in VFP. Vince is a founding member of VFP’s Climate Crisis and Militarism Project and is currently on its steering committee.
