Daniel Shea is President of Veterans For Peace, PDX Chapter 72 in Portland, Oregon, and a former member of the national board. A U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam (1968) and Subic Bay (1969), he has been an outspoken Labor advocate and against U.S. military interventions since the 1980s. His activism includes work with the Portland Sanctuary Movement and international peace delegations to countries including Vietnam, Venezuela, the Philippines, and Nicaragua. Shea also hosted the “Veterans For Peace Forum” television program for over a decade and remains active in peace and justice efforts locally and internationally.
