Livier Jimenez Lazaro
Livier Jimenez Lazaro has a stepson who is currently deployed to Jordan. She is a retired U.S. Army Sergeant First Class who served 20 years on active duty as a combat medic, including 2 deployments during the Iraq War. A Mexican-American combat veteran, she is a nationally recognized advocate for veterans, military families, military sexual trauma awareness, and deported veterans. She serves as Chair of the LULAC Military & Veterans Affairs Committees on Deported Veterans and Military Sexual Trauma, Southwest Regional Director for Repatriate Our Patriots, and is the first female Past Commander of VFW Post 7420. Through her advocacy, Livier works to honor the promise made to those who have served by advancing policy, raising public awareness, and supporting veterans and military families on both sides of the border.
