Pat Alviso

Speciality

Pat Alviso is the mom of a retired Marine who served 30 years in the military and was deployed 6 times to Iraq and Afghanistan. She is the National Coordinator for Military Families Speak Out (MFSO), a national organization with members across the country who have or have had loved ones in the military since 9-11. They support the troops, want them home now, and take care of them when they get home.

On behalf of thousands of military families, she continues to speak widely about the true cost of war at events, classrooms, and other venues across the country, and can be found at regularly held vigils, demonstrations, community events, and memorial displays to help bring all of our troops home from unjust wars in the Middle East. Since the war on Iran, she has been working to amplify the voices of military families who have loved ones currently deployed and to strengthen the role of MFSO  in the struggle to end the war in Iran in solidarity with Veterans and Military Families Against Fascism, an alliance that includes Veterans for Peace, About Face Veterans, Common Defense and other like-minded veteran groups.
